Hyderabad: Union minister of state (MoS) for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, on Sunday claimed that chief minister Revanth Reddy has an understanding with BRS working president KTR.Speaking to reporters, he suggested that this is why no corruption cases have been pursued against KTR. Sanjay stated that Revanth is acting as a mediator to reconcile Kalvakuntla Kavitha and KTR. He further alleged that the focus of their investigations is solely on Harish Rao, as they are only probing part of the alleged corruption in the Kaleshwaram project. He accused them of limiting the inquiry to Annaram, Sundilla, and Medigadda, fearing that a full investigation into the alleged 1 lakh crore corruption in Kaleshwaram would reveal everything. He was responding to CM Revanth Reddy’s comments on the Kaleshwaram issue in the assembly. The Karimnagar MP remarked that Congress and BRS are engaging in collusive politics, asserting that Revanth and KTR are essentially one and the same. He claimed that the CM is advising KTR to be cautious regarding Harish and noted that Revanth does not harbour the same animosity towards KTR as he does towards Harish. According to him, Revanth is avoiding discussions about the pharma case, drugs, or farmhouse cases involving KTR, implying that this is due to his personal affinity for him.Sanjay also claimed that Revanth’s anger towards KCR has diminished, suggesting that a deal has been struck between the two. This, he argued, is why their attacks are concentrated on Harish while KTR escapes scrutiny. He urged Harish to consider whether KTR and Revanth are truly aligned. While Revanth is calling for a CBI investigation specifically into Kaleshwaram, Bandi questioned the focus on just this case when there are numerous other corruption allegations. He pointed out that if Revanth believes corruption exceeds 1 lakh crore, then why is he insisting only on a CBI probe concerning the 9,000 crore linked to Sundilla, Annaram, and Medigadda? The Karimnagar MP implied that Revanth believes Harish is involved in these specific cases, which is why the investigation is restricted and a thorough inquiry into the larger alleged corruption — potentially implicating KCR’s family — is being avoided.Regarding the mining scam, the MP stated that investigations were being conducted merely to intimidate, as those involved had looted for 10 years and are now attempting to perpetuate the same behaviour.Bandi also emphasised that a BRS-BJP alliance is not feasible, as the BJP opposes family rule. He noted that the party fought to eradicate KCR family corruption and succeeded in defeating them. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently stated in a meeting that tickets would not be issued to political family heirs, raising further doubts about an alliance with a party perceived as corrupt. With the announcement of delimitation and the implementation of 33% reservations for women, Bandi suggested that Revanth has become despondent. He asserted that there should be no distinction between the South and North, claiming that all regions are treated equally by the BJP.
