Mysuru: Adopting a “zero tolerance” policy against drugs, Mysuru city police have externed a person to Shivamogga for six months after he was accused under the NDPS Act. He was arrested on Sunday. Commissioner of police Seema Latkar, who is also the additional city magistrate, said in a release that an order of externment was issued against Manjunath alias Thoti Manja alias Aslam, a resident of Udayagiri. Canacona: Panic has gripped residents of Nunem in Netravali, Sanguem taluka, after a leopard attacked a pet dog last week. The dog was kept on the balcony of local resident Abhijit Desai’s house. Madhepura: Armed miscreants opened indiscriminate fire at the residential office of a cooking LPG agency owner under the Chausa police station area in Madhepura early Monday. The shootout reportedly took place around midnight when the residents, including the agency owner, were asleep.According to police, agency owner Satya Prakash Gupta learnt about the incident on Monday morning and informed the local police.
