Jaipur: Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has approved Rs 240 crore for an elevated road project to reduce traffic congestion in Sanganer. The decision was taken by JDA’s executive committee at a meeting Thursday.Officials said the project was announced in the 2024–25 state budget to address daily traffic jams in Sanganer area. Cops said that both the murders were committed after disputes over petty issues.Shubham Thakre (30) was stabbed to death near a liquor bar in Rajapeth area. Gorakhpur: As part of a statewide environmental initiative aimed at improving rural health and water quality, the Uttar Pradesh govt has decided to develop 100 ponds in every district as model ponds. T’puram: Govt sanctioned an additional Rs 73.50 crore to Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) as monthly assistance for pension distribution, finance minister K N Balagopal said on Thursday.In a statement, the minister said the amount was released as part of govt’s continued financial support to the state-run transport corporation to ensure timely payment of pension. With the latest allocation, the total govt assistance extended to KSRTC during the current financial year reached Rs 1,399 crore.
