Gandhinagar: The Gujarat govt said on Monday that the state’s rainwater harvesting capacity increased by 4.19 lakh kilolitres after the launch of the ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign in urban areas. Under the initiative, about 2,900 rainwater harvesting systems were developed in 17 municipal corporations and 152 municipalities, increasing rainwater storage capacity by about 4,19,000 kilolitres.Govt also said that it set a target for 100% disposal of legacy waste in cities by March 2026.
