Chewing and jarda scented tobacco, and gutkha will attract an excise duty of 82 per cent, and 91 per cent respectively.Manufacturers of chewing tobacco, gutkha and similar products will have to install a functional CCTV system from February 1, covering all packing machines and preserve the footage for at least 24 months, according to a government notification. New Delhi: One of the country’s largest central govt hospitals is functioning with a significant shortage of teaching faculty, potentially straining patient care and medical education. An RTI reply from Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital administration on Dec 27, 2025, shows that 70 out of the 398 sanctioned teaching posts are vacant.
