Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation is grappling with major staff shortage, with more than two-thirds of its regular posts, over 60%, lying vacant. This is the situation across crucial administrative and technical wings.Of the 5,611 sanctioned regular posts in the civic body, 3,767 are currently vacant, leaving only 1,769 employees on the rolls. Nagpur: An unidentified man, around 30 years old, lost his life after falling from the fourth floor of an under-construction building in Ajni on Friday.The accident occurred around 2pm in Empress Mill Society, Srinagar. The labourer approached contractor Aniket Rathod (35), a resident of Jaripatka, seeking work at the Ved Infrastructure site. Nandanghat: A 38-year-old woman from Bengal’s East Burdwan district, working as a waitress at a restaurant in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Friday night.
