Salem: Governor R N Ravi on Thursday presented gold medals and degree certificates to students at the 24th convocation ceremony of Periyar University in Salem.The governor presented gold medals and degree certificates to 358 students who completed their doctoral studies and 110 who topped in postgraduation and under-graduation. Gurgaon: A 68-year-old man was killed after a truck hit his electric scooter on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway near Ravi Hotel on Wednesday.The truck involved in the collision was identified and seized from the spot. However, the driver fled immediately after the accident and remains absconding, an officer said. “A case was registered under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
