Ranchi: To strengthen enforcement against single-use plastic (SUP), the Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has urged citizens to actively use the Central Pollution Control Board’s (CPCB) SUP grievance app, available on both Android and iOS platforms. Vadodara: Kapurai police arrested a motorbike thief on Thursday after receiving information that a stolen two-wheeler was being ridden in the area.Police said they intercepted the suspect and asked him to produce documents for the motorbike. The accused, identified as Rakesh Vasava, a resident of Wagodia, failed to establish ownership and later admitted to stealing the vehicle from Dabhoi Road three weeks ago.Police said Vasava is a history-sheeter and has been booked in six theft cases by different police stations in the past. Varanasi: A man in Mirzapur has been booked for allegedly killing six puppies by throwing them into a well in Dharampur village under the Chunar police station area of the district. The accused, Sarvesh Singh alias Kattan, has been booked under section 325 (maiming or killing of an animal) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, 1960.
