Patna: The Bihar Cybercrime and Security Unit has arrested a 42-year-old man from Bihta in Patna district in connection with a “digital arrest” case involving suspicious financial transactions. The action followed information received through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP) about a bank account allegedly being used to route funds linked to cyberfraud.Police identified the accused as Kumar Aryan, a Bihta resident. Kolkata: A 67-year-old man from Beleghata was cheated of Rs 95,990 by scammers using AI voice-cloning technology.The victim got a call from an unknown number. The caller sounded exactly like his acquaintance, “Ajoy,” and claimed that a relative had been admitted to a private hospital and needed urgent money for treatment.Believing the voice was real, the victim made several online bank transfers within less than an hour.
