Bengaluru: Manipal Health Enterprises, which operates the Manipal Hospitals chain, reported a 4.2% decline in net profit to Rs 243 crore for the June quarter, even as income rose 38.5% year-on-year to Rs 3,165 crore. Chennai: The TVK govt has planned to launch Singappen credit scheme for women entrepreneurs at an outlay of Rs 7,015 crore.Minister for cooperation V Gandhiraj announced in the assembly that the scheme was intended to “empower women socially and economically, to reduce rural poverty and enable them (women) to achieve financial independence”. Ahmedabad: Residents seeking to book community halls managed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will no longer have to submit a wedding invitation card, easing a long-standing hurdle for those planning marriages.The AMC standing committee has directed officials to accept bookings on the basis of an Aadhaar card, even if the wedding invitation was not printed.
