Bengaluru: Manipal Health Enterprises, which operates the Manipal Hospitals chain, reported a 4.2% decline in net profit to Rs 243 crore for the June quarter, even as income rose 38.5% year-on-year to Rs 3,165 crore. It was the company’s first earnings announcement since its Aug 5 listing.The hospital operator has a network of 50 hospitals and more than 13,400 licensed beds across the country.Net profit was weighed down by finance costs, which more than doubled to Rs 293 crore from Rs 132 crore.
