Varanasi: Under the One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme launched by the Varanasi Municipal Corporation for property tax, water tax and sewer tax defaulters, 276 building owners have deposited ₹39.36 lakh in property tax within the first three days. Taxpayers have also received a waiver of ₹7.18 lakh on interest and surcharge.Municipal commissioner Himanshu Nagpal said that under the scheme, the entire interest and surcharge are being waived if the principal outstanding amount is paid in one go.
