Amravati: A 44-year-old man was killed on the spot while his wife and eight-year-old son were critically injured after a speeding car rammed into their two-wheeler from behind on the Amravati-Akola highway near Loni on Thursday afternoon.The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Naushad Qureshi, a resident of Taj Nagar. Varanasi: Cyber Police Station of Sonbhadra district on Thursday arrested two persons for sharing and uploading child pornography videos on social media. Information about child pornography/videos uploaded on social media was received through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) portal operated by ministry of home affairs and Cyber Tripline system, which flags child pornography and information related to child sexual abuse to law enforcement agencies via the NCRP portal. Kolkata: The Union home ministry has extended the deployment of 500 companies of central armed forces (CAPF) in Bengal till June 20 to maintain law and order amid concerns over post-poll violence and tensions in sensitive areas.The Bengal govt, in a May 16 letter, had sought continuation of the central forces till end-Oct 2026.
