Sopore, Aug 19 : An elderly woman died after being hit by a car near the Bypass in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident occurred when an Alto car, travelling from Sopore towards Bandipora, hit a pedestrian near Sofi Akber Road, Bypass, in Sopore.He said the woman was immediately shifted to District Hospital Sopore for treatment; however, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.She was identified as Azi Begum (70), a resident of Ningli.
