Chennai: Two men were arrested on charges of abducting and assaulting a 39-year-old lodge owner in Nolambur over a ₹15lakh debt. The two had also attempted to transfer ownership of his house in lieu of the debt.The complainant, Priyadarshan of Brindavan Avenue in Nolambur, had borrowed ₹22.5lakh from Senguttuvan to construct a lodge and repaid ₹7.5lakh. Shillong: Three children were electrocuted in Ri Bhoi district on Wednesday after touching a fallen power line.The incident occurred around 2 pm at Umtangling village under Umiam police station, when the children came in contact with a live 11kV overhead power line that snapped and fell across a village road.All three died on the spot, officials said.
