Ahmedabad: Four people, including two petrol pump operators and two Rajasthan-based tanker operators, have been booked by Ahmedabad unit of CID (Crime) for allegedly supplying and transporting 6,000 litres of diesel in violation of a Centre-imposed daily limit of 200 litres. Guwahati: Eight workers from Assam who were rescued from flash floods in Nepal returned to the state early Monday under police escort from Siliguri. After being stranded on high ground and later airlifted to Kathmandu, the survivors began returning to their homes in different districts, officials said.Several of the workers were employed at the under-construction Upper Trishuli Hydropower Project near the Nepal-China border. Pune: Maharashtra State Faculty Development Authority (MSFDA) has trained around 22,000 teachers from aided colleges so far and plans to train another 10,000 over the next year, its executive director, Shailendra Devlankar, said on Monday.Devlankar told reporters that the training goes beyond academics, with teachers also being trained to counsel students.
