Chandigarh: Haryana recorded 6,480 road accidents and 3,059 deaths in 2025, the highest in the seven years since 2019, according to data tabled in the state assembly on Monday.The figures, furnished in response to an unstarred question by Congress MLA Aditya Surjewala, show that deaths in road accidents have remained high despite efforts to identify and rectify accident-prone stretches.The data covers accidents on state highways and district roads.
