An elephant calf is trying to climb out of the pit and rejoin its mother Madikeri: An elephant calf got separated from its mother and fell into a water pit in Nalvattekare village of Nellihudikeri on Tuesday night.The calf, believed to be about five years old, reportedly fell into a small pit dug for a piggery around 8.30 pm.
