Kanpur: The Kanpur Cricket Association (KSA) on Saturday suspended three cricketers for allegedly misbehaving with an umpire.According to Kaushal Kishore Singh, secretary, KSA, cricketer Shailendra Shukla has been suspended for three matches, Om Mishra for two matches, while Devendra Kumar has been banned from participating throughout the 2026-27 season.Singh said the suspended players would not be allowed to participate in any KSA-affiliated tournaments during their suspension period. Margao: The appointment of Patricio Coutinho as president of the comunidade of Margao has triggered strong objections from the components of the comunidade, which has demanded that the decision be kept in abeyance pending an inquiry.The revenue department, in an order dated June 22, approved Coutinho’s appointment under Article 51 of the Code of Comunidades for the 2025-27 triennium. Panchkula: A tourist drowned at Tikkar Taal in Morni Hills on Saturday. Police said the deceased had reportedly visited the tourist spot.After receiving information about the incident, a police team reached the spot and initiated proceedings. The body was recovered from the lake and taken into police custody.Police said the identity of the deceased had not been established till the filing of this report.
