Patna: The state govt has allowed TRE-3 teachers currently serving their probation period to apply for transfers, reversing its earlier decision excluded them from the process.The education department issued the order on Tuesday following directions from education minister Mithilesh Tiwari. With this change, probationary teachers, headmasters and head teachers will be covered under the Bihar State Teacher Transfer Rules, 2026.They can now apply online through the department’s portal for adjustment, rationalisation and mutual transfers, on the same lines as other teachers.”The state govt is fully sensitive to teachers’ interests. Rajkot: Three members of a family died after allegedly poisoning themselves at their home in Ajanta Park on Sadhu Vaswani Road on Monday afternoon, with police investigating whether financial distress or pressure from moneylenders had caused the triple suicide.The deceased are retired PWD employee Dilip Khakkhar, 73, his wife Smita, 65, and their son Nishit, 32.The three were rushed to Rajkot Civil Hospital after the poison began taking effect. Ranchi: Jharkhand high court on Tuesday directed the National Testing Agency (NTA) to produce the original OMR sheet of a NEET-UG 2026 candidate who has alleged a discrepancy in the tabulation of his marks.Justice Ananda Sen directed the agency to submit the OMR sheet of petitioner Lakshya Singh in a sealed cover.Singh appeared for the NEET-UG re-test held in Ranchi on June 21. Surat: A 62-year-old Ahmedabad-based developer and owner of the well-known restaurant Patang was arrested on Monday for alleged involvement in cheating and criminal breach of trust involving at least 15 victims, police said.
