New Delhi: A 60-year-old partially handicapped woman was beaten to death allegedly by her son after she refused to give him money to purchase liquor in south Delhi’s Maidan Garhi on Wednesday. The accused son has been arrested, police said.The deceased woman has been identified as Chinta Devi, a resident of UP Colony in the Kharak Gaon village area. The accused, Amod, is her younger son.Chinta Devi was a housewife who lived with her two sons, elder daughter-in-law and a three-year-old granddaughter. Dhubri: A five-year-old boy missing since Tuesday was found dead in the Brahmaputra at Fakirganj on Wednesday morning.Faridul Ali accidentally fell into the river while watching erosion at Nishinpur village under the Birshing Jarua constituency in Dhubri district.Police and State Disaster Response Force personnel launched a search but could not trace him on Tuesday.Residents spotted his body floating near Boraibari in Fakirganj the next morning and alerted police.
