Pune: The Chakan North police on Tuesday arrested a history-sheeter and recovered seven stolen motorcycles worth Rs 3.5 lakh from his possession.The accused, Ashok Sonawane, a resident of Ahilyanagar district, had allegedly stolen the motorcycles parked outside companies in the Chakan MIDC area.A police team led by senior inspector Jitendra Kadam detected five vehicle theft cases registered with the Pimpri Chinchwad police and two with the Pune Rural police.An officer from the Chakan North police said the accused used duplicate keys to steal the motorcycles. Lucknow: Fire safety will now be the first requirement for approval of building maps in Lucknow.The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has made it mandatory for buildings requiring a fire NOC to submit a valid certificate before their maps are approved.LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar issued the order, making compliance with the UP Fire Safety and Emergency Services Act, 2022, and Rules, 2024 compulsory.Under the new system, maps of commercial and public-use buildings covered under fire safety norms will not be approved without a valid fire NOC issued by the fire department.For buildings not covered under mandatory fire NOC rules, including hotels,…
