New Delhi, Declared donations above Rs 20,000 received by regional political parties increased more than three-fold in 2024-25 compared to the previous year, with DMK emerging as the biggest recipient, according to a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms released on Thursday.The amount received in donations by the regional parties was Rs 1,051.56 crore in 2024-25, up from Rs 347.69 crore in 2023-24, while the total number of donations received for the two years were 5,297 and 2,861, respectively — denoting an 85 per cent increase.Corporate and business houses continued to dominate political funding, contributing Rs 644.93 crore in…
