Hyderabad: The Central Crime Station (CCS) police of Hyderabad have registered a case against a car dealership and its directors for alleged loan default and diversion of hypothecated assets that caused State Bank of India (SBI) a loss of ₹3.2 crore.The complaint was lodged on Aug 12 by K Sanjay Kumar, branch manager of SBI’s City Centre branch in Banjara Hills. Chennai: Less than a day after announcing a ban on 11 varieties of liquor at Tasmac outlets, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) revoked the ban on Saturday. FSSAI had banned the sale of 10 varieties of brandy and one rum brand by an order dated Aug 11. The revocation decision came after the company promised to bring its products into compliance within 30 days.On Tuesday, following an inspection at the manufacturing unit, FSSAI’s southern regional office issued a prohibitory order against the 11 liquor varieties. Bicholim: The Sanquelim Municipal Council (SMC) has launched a four-way waste segregation system under its ‘Swachh Sankhali, Sundar Sanquelim’ campaign, in line with the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules.The initiative, launched on Independence Day, will see residents segregating waste into four categories using separate bins: blue for dry waste, green for wet waste, black for e-waste and red for sanitary waste, including used sanitary pads.The civic body will conduct awareness and guidance programmes across the municipal area to encourage segregation at source.
