Jaisalmer: The Army’s Western Command is conducting its two-week long Khadga Shakti 2026 which is its largest high-intensity combat exercise since Operation Sindoor at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Bikaner district, testing multi-domain and technology-based warfare doctrines. According to military official sources, the exercise holds special significance as it marks the first major, full-scale combat drill for the Western Command post-Operation Sindoor. The Western Command’s Strike Corps, also known as Khadga Corps, is participating with full combat capability, reflecting the Army’s growing focus on precision warfare and modern combat integration. The exercise examined fast, precise and technology-driven operations on the battlefield and showcased how the Army was prioritising fast, precise and technology-driven operations instead of traditional massive military deployments.
