Nagpur: A 28-year-old air hostess, identified as Gayatri alias Gauri Bansod, was found dead in her apartment in Lakadganj on Friday night. Gayatri allegedly died by suicide after a heated phone argument with her boyfriend.Gayatri was alone at home as her family had gone to Bhandara for a function. Around 2am, she had a phone conversation with her doctor boyfriend, during which a dispute arose. She reportedly threatened to commit suicide before disconnecting the call.Alarmed, the boyfriend rushed to her residence. When there was no response despite repeated knocks, he informed the family and police. Lakadganj police broke open the door and found her hanging. The body was sent for post-mortem.The couple planned to marry with family approval, though some relatives were reportedly unhappy. Lakadganj police registered an accidental death case and are questioning the family and boyfriend to ascertain the exact reason behind the suicide.
