Ahmedabad: Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon, a US-based business leader and Grammy award-winning musician, inaugurated the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of Artificial Intelligence at her alma mater, IIM Ahmedabad (IIM-A). Senior leadership of the B-school, including BoG chairperson Pankaj Patel, were present at the ceremony.Chandrika and her husband, Rajan Tandon, donated Rs 100 crore for the school, according to an IIM-A release. “It aims to translate advances in artificial intelligence (AI) into practical tools and solutions that support better decision-making, improve productivity, and address complex challenges across industry, govt, and society,” the release states.“The focus on applied research in vertical industry sectors and functions, identifying tangible challenges that can be transformed by AI, will allow IIM-A to educate better future leaders and serve society with groundbreaking insights in partnership with industry,” said Krishnamurthy Tandon on the occasion. “It is a very exciting development — indeed an imperative for today.”
