Ahmedabad: With a partly cloudy sky due to an upper-air cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan, the city on Tuesday recorded a maximum temperature of 36.7°C, 1.6 degrees below normal. On Monday, the maximum temperature in the city was 37.6°C. On the other hand, the minimum temperature at 27°C was 5.1 degrees above normal. It was higher than the 26.5°C recorded on Monday.According to the IMD forecast, the city may experience temperatures in a similar range on Wednesday. A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from April 2, according to the forecast.The state forecast indicated that there will be no large change in maximum temperatures during the next 48 hours, after which there will be a gradual fall by 2-3 degrees. There will be no large change in minimum temperatures, it added.From April 3 onwards, there are chances of light rain or thundershowers at isolated places in districts such as Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Amreli, Bhavnagar and Kutch for three days.Across the state, the maximum temperatures dipped — Vadodara recorded the highest maximum temperature at 37°C, followed by Ahmedabad and Amreli at 36.7°C, Gandhinagar at 36.4°C, and Rajkot and Surat at 35.8°C, among others.
