Ahmedabad: After intense heat at the beginning of the week, temperatures returned to normal in the city and, by extension, across the state. The city’s maximum temperature was 38°C on Saturday, which was 2.9°C below normal and 1.5°C lower than Friday’s 39.5°C.At 22.9°C, the minimum temperature was 3.8°C higher than normal. It was slightly higher than the 21.7°C recorded on Friday.The forecast indicated that the city may experience maximum and minimum temperatures of 39°C and 21°C on Sunday.For Gujarat, the forecast indicated a gradual fall of 2°C to 4°C in maximum temperatures over the next five days, after which it stabilises. There was no major change in minimum temperatures, the forecast indicated.On March 19 and March 20, there was a chance of light rain in some parts of the state, the forecast added.At 38.8°C, Kandla recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state, followed by 38.4°C in Rajkot and 38°C in Ahmedabad. All other cities and towns recorded maximum temperatures below 38°C, with Dwarka recording the lowest at 29.8°C.
