Gurgaon: A 40-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped at knifepoint, drugged and raped by two men in the Taoru area in Nuh on April 4. The accused also recorded the assault and circulated the video to blackmail her, police said.According to the complaint, the incident took place on the afternoon of April 4. The woman was on her way to Dhulawat village to buy medicines. After getting off a tempo, she was passing through a secluded stretch when the two men allegedly followed her, threatened her with a knife and dragged her into a nearby jungle.The complainant alleged that the accused assaulted her when she resisted. They then forced her to inhale an intoxicating substance, after which she lost consciousness. Police said the men then raped her and recorded the act on a mobile phone.After she regained consciousness, the accused allegedly threatened her with the video and assaulted her again. Later that night, they left her by the roadside and fled, warning her against approaching the police or informing anyone, saying they would circulate the video, police said.The woman informed her husband, but did not immediately approach the police. The matter came to light the next day after the video was circulated locally.Based on her complaint, an FIR was registered at Sadar Taoru police station under Section 63 (rape) of BNS and Section 67 (publishing or transmitting obscene material) of the IT Act.Police said efforts are underway to identify and arrest the accused. “We have recorded the victim’s statement and a medical examination has been conducted. Further investigation is in progress,” a senior police officer said.
