Palanpur: Four workers suffered severe burns after a boiler exploded at a castor oil extraction mill in Kanodar town of Banaskantha district on Wednesday.Of the four, three people, including a woman, who suffered 60%-90% burns were rushed to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital and their condition is said to be critical. “One worker suffered 30% burns and is being treated at Palanpur Civil Hospital,” said sources. Workers said that flammable material was stored in the solvent unit where a spark caused a fire and subsequent explosion. Sources further said the factory employs workers from Bihar. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
