Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray denied reports of his being named as the party’s next working president. He said in a post on X that there is no truth to this news and there is no such discussion in the party. “There has been news on some TV channels that I am going to be given some position in the party. There is no truth to this news and there is no such discussion in the party. Please take note of this,” Aaditya said in his post.Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said there was no such development but said if Aaditya takes up a leadership role, it should be welcome. “Uddhav Thackeray also became the party’s working president over time. If Aaditya Thackeray’s name has come to the fore, it should be welcomed. Of course, now, all these things should be considered while handing over leadership to the younger generation. Future politics should go to the youth. Aaditya Thackeray and his team have done a great job in the BMC elections,” Raut said.In the 2010 Dussehra rally, Sena founder Bal Thackeray gave the responsibility of the Yuva Sena to his grandson, Aaditya. Aaditya is a two-time MLA from Worli and a former environment minister.
