Patna: A poultry farm owner was found dead at Saidpur Bahsi village under Jandaha police station area of Vaishali district on Monday, police said.The victim, identified as Jag Narayan Sahni (35), son of Baiju Sahni, a resident of Saidpur Bahsi village, left home carrying Rs1 lakh on Sunday evening to visit his poultry farm. When he did not return, his family became concerned and sent his brother to check on him. His body was found and the money was missing.The family lodged an FIR against six persons in this regard.His family suspected involvement of the person who had lent money to Jag Narayan. Besides, his son had eloped with a local girl, and her family allegedly threatened to take revenge, and this could be the reason for his killing.Police said investigation is going on from all angles.Jag Narayan’s younger brother Jagat Kumar said, “Jag Narayan left home on Sunday evening carrying Rs1 lakh with him to go to the poultry farm. He kept money to give it to some lender. He used to stay there overnight. When he didn’t return home till Monday morning, I went to the poultry farm to search for him. Upon reaching there, I found his body. The money was also missing from his possession.”Jag Narayan’s family told the police that he had taken loan from some people and they used to threaten him as well.The deceased’s sister Somari Devi said, “Five months ago, her nephew Rahul Kumar eloped and married Manisha Kumari, daughter of the villager Shivnath Mahto. Later, after a village panchayat, the girl was handed over to her family members.”According to Somari, about a week ago, the girl’s mother Renu Devi came to their house, hurled abuses and threatened to kill them. She suspected that Jag Narayan was murdered and his money looted due to this enmity.Jag Narayan is survived by three sons.SHO, Jandaha, Manoj Kumar said, “The body was handed over to the family after the postmortem at Hajipur Sadar Hospital. An FIR has been registered against six persons, including villager Shivnath and his family, based on the family’s statement.”
