Guwahati: The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) has announced an academic achievement by Yugal Kishore Mohanta, an assistant professor in the department of applied biology and a senior collaborator of Global Burden of Disease, for contributing to a global research publication in The Lancet Infectious Diseases. The paper, titled “Global burden of lower respiratory infections and aetiologies, 1990-2023: a systematic analysis for the Global Burden of Disease Study 2023,” is among the most comprehensive global assessments of lower respiratory infections till date, USTM said.
