Bengaluru: Bengaluru Central City Corporation has directed its officials to launch a campaign promoting adoption of community dogs.At a meeting with animal husbandry officials and NGOs, Daljit Kumar, additional commissioner (development), emphasised that adoption efforts should complement ongoing Animal Birth Control (ABC) and Anti-Rabies Vaccination (ARV) programmes. He also instructed that all dogs be given proper health check-ups and vaccinations prior to adoption.Additionally, he directed officials to adhere to guidelines issued by the Supreme Court for managing community dogs. Maintaining cleanliness at the ABC centre located within the animal husbandry super specialty hospital premises was also highlighted as a priority.
