Bengaluru: A man has been accused of assaulting his neighbour’s pet dog in Avverahalli, north Bengaluru, after the animal allegedly barked at his wife. The incident occurred on the evening of April 11, when the dog barked at a woman from a neighbouring house. Angered by this, her husband later entered the dog owner’s residence and attacked the animal.According to the complaint, the dog, which was tied near the gate, was beaten with a wooden stick and lost consciousness. The owner rushed it to a veterinary hospital, where it received treatment and is now out of danger.The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the house. Based on the footage and the complaint, a case has been registered at Madanayakanahalli police station.
