Hyderabad: Telangana is positioning itself as a global electronics manufacturing hub, IT & industries minister D Sridhar Babu said on Saturday, while stressing the govt’s focus on creating a strong ecosystem beyond basic assembly. He said Telangana is working to build a complete electronics value chain, spanning component manufacturing to advanced technologies, to attract global investment and strengthen its role in India’s expanding electronics sector.Speaking at an interaction with officials of Hyderabad-based Radiant Appliances and Electronics Private Limited to mark the milestone of manufacturing 10 million television units, Sridhar Babu said it was a sign of the state’s growing industrial strength.Pointing out that India has set a target of reaching $500 billion in electronics production by 2030, the minister said Telangana is well placed to contribute significantly to that goal. Calling electronics manufacturing a major driver of the state economy in the time to come, he said the govt is also focusing on infrastructure development and workforce skills.
