Prayagraj: A joint team of Dhoomanganj and Narcotics Task Force (Prayagraj commissionerate) on Friday arrested three drug peddlers identified as Sachin Pasi (27), Rahul Kumar (22) and Nitesh Kumar (32), all residents of Tarbagh, and seized five packets of smack weighing around 704.88 gm, worth around Rs 1.41 crore in the international market, three mobiles and Rs 1,200 cash from their possession.The drug peddlers were arrested near Subedarganj Road while planning to dispose of drugs. They were booked under Section 18/21 of the NDPS Act.The commissioner of police announced a Rs 50,000 cash prize for the joint police team for the arrest.Police said that Pasi was a notorious drug peddler with eight criminal cases pending against him in different police stations of the city. Similarly, Rahul and Nitesh have at least two criminal cases pending with Dhoomanganj and Puramufti police stations.
