Shimla: The Shimla police on Friday claimed to have busted an inter-state narcotics trafficking network and arrested five persons and recovered 34 grams of heroin (chitta) from their possession.Acting on a tip-off, a police team from Theog police station intercepted a Bolero Camper with four occupants in the Matiana area. Upon the search, the police recovered 34 grams of heroin from the vehicle and arrested the occupants.The accused have been identified as Chand Prakash (32), Vijay Kumar (23) and Kailash (26) of Kullu district, and Abhishek (24) of Shimla district.A case has been registered under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act against the arrested accused, said the police.During the investigation, the police traced the supply chain and arrested the main supplier, Shivdev Singh (30) from Mansa district in Punjab.
