Akola: The Akola police have also arrested the mother-in-law, and brother-in-law of Ravina Pawar who was allegedly murdered by her husband recently. Her half-burnt body was found near the Annapurna Mata Temple under the Dabki Road police station limits on Monday. Since the victim’s face was badly burnt, identification had become difficult. During the course of investigation, Ravina’s husband Sadiq Shah Tasreef Shah appeared at the police station and confessed to killing her. Further interrogation revealed alleged involvement of his mother, Nurabi Shah, and brother-in-law, Irfan Shah. Akola city deputy superintendent of police Sudarshan Patil told media that the accused hatched a plan to murder Ravina and burn the body to destroy evidence and avoid identification. “The accused have been remanded to police custody till April 13. The case is being probe from all angles to uncover the motive,” Patil said. The victim’s 10-15-day-old infant is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. Authorities said arrangements will be made through the Child Welfare Committee for the child’s care.
