Jind: A man has been booked for allegedly sexually assaulting a 2.5-year-old girl in Julana town of Jind district, police said on Thursday.The child has been admitted According to the FIR, the accused allegedly lured the child and took her to a secluded spot. Her family launched a search after she went missing and later found her injured after hearing her cries.She was first taken to the community health centre and later referred to PGIMS, Rohtak, owing to the seriousness of her condition.Police have registered a case against the identified accused and launched a manhunt. A police official told TOI that police began investigation immediately after receiving information about the incident. He said teams had been formed to arrest the accused.Doctors at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak, have confirmed sexual assault. The child is undergoing treatment and her condition is stated to be stable.
