Gurgaon: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Haryana govt on Wednesday transferred 15 senior officers, including Gurgaon deputy commissioner Ajay Kumar.Kumar, a 2013-batch IAS officer who was serving as Gurgaon DC since November 2024, has been appointed deputy principal secretary 2 to the chief minister of Haryana — a newly created post.He will be succeeded by 2015-batch IAS officer Uttam Singh, who was serving as deputy commissioner of Karnal and CEO of Karnal Smart City. Singh has also previously served as deputy commissioner of Hisar.He holds a BSc in mathematics from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, and an MCA in computer science from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur.Among other key transfers, Anand Kumar Sharma — municipal commissioner of Rohtak and administrator of HSVP Rohtak — has been appointed deputy commissioner of Karnal.Vineet Garg, chairman of the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB), will now serve as additional chief secretary (ACS) of the Printing and Stationery Department.Anurag Agarwal, ACS, town and country planning and urban estates department, has been given additional charge of ACS, irrigation and water resources department.Pankaj Agarwal, who was serving as ACS, irrigation and water resources department, has been posted as ACS, architecture department.J Ganesan, currently holding multiple portfolios — secretary, food supplies and consumer affairs; housing for all; CEO of several special purpose vehicles (SPVs); and managing director of HATRON — has been given additional charge as chairman of HSPCB and commissioner, public engineering department.Transport secretary Atul Kumar has been given additional charge as commissioner and secretary, finance department.Labour commissioner Dusmantra Kumar Behra has been transferred as secretary, revenue and disaster management department, while Mani Ram Sharma, registrar of cooperative societies, has been posted as secretary, health department.
