Amritsar: Iran has extended an official invitation to the officiating jathedar of Akal Takht, Giani Kuldip Singh Gargaj, and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami to attend an event in New Delhi on April 12 to mark the 40th day of martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.The invitation was handed over on Wednesday by Mohammad Hossein Ziyaeenia, deputy to the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India, to an SGPC official in Amritsar. It is seen as part of ongoing outreach efforts aimed at engaging with prominent religious leadership in India.According to the invitation, the commemorative event will be held at the Iran Culture House in New Delhi at 7 pm, and will bring together religious figures and community representatives.The ceremony is being organised under the supervision of Prof Abdolmajeed Hakim Elahi, representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India.
