Jhajjar: A financier, Sahil, 28, was shot dead in Dighal village of Haryana’s Jhajjar district, on Wednesday morning.Around 11:15 am, three armed men arrived in a black Scorpio without number plates and stormed a meeting room where Sahil was playing cards on Sampla Road. The attackers fired over 20 rounds in one minute, targeting Sahil before fleeing the scene. Sahil was rushed to a private hospital in Rohtak, where he was declared dead. Forensic teams have collected bullet shells from the site for examination at the Madhuban laboratory. Police commissioner Dr Rajshree Singh has formed five special teams to investigate the murder, which appears to be a premeditated execution involving prior reconnaissance. While the motive is still unknown, police are looking into Sahil’s background, including a love marriage a year ago and a dispute with local youths from two years ago which was later resolved. CCTV footage is being analysed, and police expect to identify the suspects soon. The postmortem is scheduled for Thursday.
