Marking World Health Day on Tuesday, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) organised a compassionate outreach programme titled ‘Little Stores’ across all districts in Kerala to support children in need.The initiative focuses on providing essential medical aid and comfort materials to children, funded through contributions from doctors. The programme aims to supply treatment-related items as well as supportive care resources to young patients. The state-level inauguration was held at IMA Hall in Kozhikode on Monday. The event was jointly inaugurated by IMA state president Dr M N Menon and state secretary Dr Roy R Chacko. In Thiruvananthapuram, assistance under the scheme was handed over to the department of paediatrics at Govt Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. The support was received by principal Dr Jabbar and presented by IMA vice-president Dr R C Sreekumar. The event, held under the aegis of IMA Patient Care Scheme, was attended by several dignitaries, including chairperson Dr Sreejith N Kumar, IMA Thiruvananthapuram president Dr Sreejith R, secretary Dr Swapna S Kumar, head of paediatrics department Dr Biju G S, superintendent Dr Binu and Dr Hariprasad, among others.
