Biharsharif: Bihar Sports University (BSU), Rajgir, has invited online applications for admission to its sports education and management programmes for the academic session 2026-27. The application process will begin on April 8 and continue till April 30. Candidates can submit their applications through the university’s official website.The university is offering three full-time programmes. These include the four-year bachelor of physical education and sports (BPES) programme designed in line with the National Education Policy 2020. It is also offering a one-year post graduate diploma in sports coaching (PGDSC) with specialisations in athletics, cricket, basketball, volleyball and kabaddi, and a one-year Post graduate diploma in sports management (PGDSM).University officials said the programmes have been approved by the academic bodies of the university and comply with the norms of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The PGDSC course has also been recognised by the sports department of the Bihar govt as equivalent to coaching courses conducted at premier institutions such as the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala, and the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior.Students appearing in their qualifying examinations in 2026 are also eligible to apply, subject to meeting the prescribed criteria. The university said it offers modern sports infrastructure and smart classrooms to support professional training in sports education and management.
