Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday assured people seeking financial assistance for treatment of serious illnesses that the state govt would extend full support.Addressing applicants at the Janata Darshan held at Gorakhnath temple, the CM asked them to obtain treatment estimates from recognised hospitals, following which adequate financial aid would be provided. He also directed officials to speed up collecting medical estimates and forward them to govt, ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive sufficient assistance from the CM’s discretionary fund.During the programme, the CM met nearly 200 people at the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhavan auditorium on the temple premises. He heard grievances individually and handed over applications to officials concerned, assuring prompt resolution. “No one needs to worry or panic. Every issue will be addressed effectively,” he said.Emphasising a sensitive approach, the CM instructed officials to ensure timely and satisfactory disposal of complaints without any negligence. He also directed that eligible individuals should not be deprived of benefits under government welfare schemes.In one instance, he assured a woman seeking financial help for cancer treatment of her relative that govt would bear the expenses once an estimate from a govt hospital is submitted.Separately, the CM directed officials to arrange school fees for a girl facing financial hardship. He also instructed authorities to facilitate pension and other scheme benefits for a woman from Siddharthnagar.
