Jaipur: Jodhpur’s Arshan Khan became the overall champion in the fifth edition of Mr Rajasthan Body Building Championship held in Bikaner on Sunday (April 5).International star Arshan was given a cash prize of Rs 71,000. Jaipur’s Praveen Kumar received a prize money of Rs 51,000 as the runner-up, while Sonu Yadav of Bikaner, who was the best poser, was richer by Rs 31,000. A total cash prize of Rs 3 lakh was given to the top players in the competition. Naveen Yadav, president of the Rajasthan State Body Building Association, stated that the one-day competition was organised by the Community Welfare Society in memory of the late Jetmal Bhati. Society patron Rajkumar Kiradu and president Kanhaiyalal Bhati presented special prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 3000, and Rs 2,000 to all winners. BJP’s Vijay Acharya and former district president Gopal were also present on the occasion, stated a press release issued by Naveen Yadav here on Monday.In the 55-kg category, Akash Khokha (Bikaner) reigned supreme, while Rakesh Gawaria of Churu and Tola Ram Mehla of Bikaner finished second and third, respectively.In the 60-kg category, Nihal Mehra (Jodhpur) won, while Piyush Jain (Bikaner) was second and Pranay Deshwani (Jodhpur) was third.Murali Bhargava of Bikaner was the winner in the 65-kg section, while Aryan Sain of Kota was the runner-up.In the 70-kg category, Devendra Dhakad of Jaipur lifted the title beating Sher Khan of Alwar.Praveen Kumar of Jaipur triumphed in the 75-kg group, while Sikar’s Kamlesh Kumar placed second.In the 80-kg category, Jitendra Singh of Bharatpur emerged champion pipping Aseem Joya of Bikaner to the second spot.In the 85-kg category, Sonu Yadav of Bikaner claimed the title, while Ravindra Khinchhad of Bikaner was the runner-up.Arshan Khan of Jodhpur was the undisputed champion in the above 85-kg section, while Sunil Samaria stood second.Nihal Mehra of Jodhpur won the men’s physique and Bikaner’s Ritika Modi pocketed the women’s fitness physique competition.
