Niharika Konidela’s backed comedy horror ‘Rakasa’ is enjoying a decent opening days at the box office as the film went on to mint Rs 2.75 crore on Saturday. Directed by Manasa Sharma, the film stars ‘MAD’ fame Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika and the film’s comedy lands for many viewers, but the film is being called uneven and familiar in parts.According to a report by trade analyst Sacnilk, the movie began its box office journey on its opening day, collecting Rs 2.85 crore. The numbers fell slightly to Rs 2.75 on Saturday as per the latest updates. ‘Rakasa’ appeared across 1,458 shows yesterday. This brings the total India gross collections to Rs 6.47 crore and total India net collections to Rs 5.60 crore so far. On the other hand, another Telugu release, ‘Biker’ starring Sharwanand, collected a net of Rs 2.33 crore across 2,094 shows. This brings the total India net collections to Rs 5.13 crore.
Theatrical occupancy
Speaking of the film’s occupancy, it had an overall occupancy of 35.37%. The morning shows began at 16.77%, which later increased to 30.69%. Later, they saw a slight drop to 28.23% and peaked at night with 44.31% occupancy.
