Nagpur: Platform No. 2 at Nagpur railway station will remain closed for 52 days from April 8 to May 29 to facilitate foundation work for a new concourse as part of the station upgradation project being undertaken by the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA).According to an official communication issued by Central Railway authorities, the work is being carried out in coordination with a planned non-interlocking block at Gondia station.While no trains will be cancelled, several services will be impacted due to the reduced platform availability. One train will be short-terminated and another short-originated at Amla station. Additionally, six trains will be diverted to manage congestion at Nagpur station.Railway officials have also indicated that at least six trains will face regulation, leading to delays ranging from 10 minutes to over two hours. Also, additional overhead equipment (OHE) and traffic blocks will be undertaken on Platform 3 for a few days during the project period. Authorities clarified that these blocks are not expected to significantly impact train operations.
