Hyderabad: Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday criticised chief minister A Revanth Reddy for claiming during his recent Kerala election campaign that six guarantees given by Congress are being implemented in Telangana.Speaking to the media after visiting the proposed dumping yard site in Huzurabad, he said that Revanth deserves an Oscar for lying. He challenged the CM to prove that the six guarantees were being implemented.“Chief minister, let’s visit any village in Telangana. If you prove that women are getting 2,500 monthly, a tola of gold, a scooter, 4,000 Aasara pensions for the elderly, 4,000 unemployment allowance, 5 lakh assurance card for students, and Rythu Bharosa money for tenant farmers and farm labourers, I will immediately resign from my minister post. I will prove that not a single one of these promises is being implemented. Will you resign from the chief minister’s post and apologise to the people of Telangana?” he challenged. He said that the CM should accept the challenge if he has the guts. “I appeal to the people of Kerala and the media there to learn the facts and explain them to others,” he said.Bandi went on to say that the main reason for Congress’ defeat in the Bihar, Delhi, Maharashtra and Haryana elections was Revanth Reddy. “As a star campaigner, Revanth Reddy went to those states and claimed that the six guarantees are being implemented in Telangana and invited people to come and see. People learnt the facts and rejected Congress. Now in Kerala, he is again lying. In reality, chief minister Revanth Reddy went to Kerala only to hand over bags and did nothing else,” he alleged.During his visit, he also said that they were against the establishment of a dumping yard in a residential area and asked govt to rethink its proposal.
